Application Instructions for Switch Wheel & Tire Cleaner
Switch is a powerful, ready-to-use cleaner. Always use as directed, work on cool surfaces, and wear appropriate safety gear. Test in an inconspicuous area first, especially on sensitive finishes.
Safety Precautions:
- Test in Inconspicuous Area: Before widespread use, especially on delicate or sensitive wheel finishes (e.g., polished aluminum, anodized, uncoated/raw finishes), always test in a small, inconspicuous area to ensure compatibility. Do not use on bare polished aluminum or anodized wheels without prior testing.
- Do Not Let Dry: Never allow Switch to dry on the surface. Work in small sections and rinse thoroughly.
- Work on Cool Surfaces: Always apply to cool wheels and tires. Avoid direct sunlight.
Application Method:
- Spray Switch generously and evenly over the entire wheel face, barrel, and tire sidewall. Ensure complete coverage of all affected areas.
- Allow to Dwell: Allow the product to dwell on the surface for 30 seconds to 2 minutes. For very heavy contamination, you may see the product change color as it begins to break down brake dust. Do not allow the product to dry on the wheels or tires.
- Agitate (optional, but recommended for best results): For optimal cleaning, especially on heavily soiled areas or for stubborn tire browning, agitate the product with a dedicated wheel brush (safe for your wheel type) and a stiff tire brush. This agitation helps work the product into the contamination.
- Rinse Thoroughly: Rinse the wheels and tires thoroughly with high-pressure water, ensuring all product and loosened contaminants are flushed away. Pay close attention to wheel crevices and behind spokes. Move quickly to avoid drying.
- Inspect & Repeat if Necessary: Inspect the wheels and tires for any remaining brake dust or browning. For extremely stubborn contamination, a second application and agitation may be necessary.
Method 2: Bug & Insect Remover
Rapidly dissolves dried insect remains from paint, glass, and plastic.
- Prepare Solution: In a clean spray bottle, dilute Reset with water (e.g., 5:1 for heavy bug splatter, 10:1 for lighter residue).
- Spray Affected Area: Lightly mist the diluted solution directly onto the bug-laden areas of paintwork, glass, or plastic (e.g., front bumper, mirrors, windshield).
- Allow to Dwell: Allow the product to dwell for 1-2 minutes. You will see the bug residue begin to soften and dissolve. Do not let the product dry on the surface.
- Rinse or Wipe:For Heavy Buildup: Rinse the area thoroughly with a strong stream of water.For Lighter Residue: Gently wipe the softened bug splatter away with a clean, soft microfiber towel. Flip the towel frequently.
- Follow Up: After removing bug residue from paint, it's recommended to follow up with a traditional wash or a waterless wash for complete cleanliness, especially before applying any protection.
